Matrix Charging^® technology goes US

Easelink together with leading industry partners is preparing the series production of the hands-free and automated conductive charging technology Matrix Charging^® for electric vehicles (EVs). Now Easelink will show the Matrix Charging^® technology for the first time to US industry players at the 36^th Electric Vehicle Symposium & Exposition (EVS36), Sacramento, USA at booth 1213 – taking place from 11^th to 14^th June 2023.

The hands-free and automated conductive charging technology Matrix Charging^® developed by the high-tech company Easelink enables an effortless & convenient EV user experience. The Matrix Charging^® system consists of an underbody vehicle unit (so-called Connector) and a charging Pad installed on top or in the parking space. Once the vehicle has parked above the Pad, the Connector automatically lowers from the vehicle’s underbody and connects to the Pad on the parking space. The vehicle is then charged over the conductive connection. With this technology short parking stops can be conveniently used for charging, unlocking completely new energy supply concepts for e-mobility and preparing electric vehicles for the advent of autonomous driving. Easelink cooperates with the world`s leading automotive OEMs, tier 1 suppliers and infrastructure providers, to introduce Matrix Charging^® to the global market and to contribute to the sustainable growth of new energy vehicles. As a key technology, Matrix Charging^® was selected for the largest electric taxi project with automated charging called eTaxi Austria which is being rolled out in Vienna & Graz, Austria. Over 60 EVs of the brands Volkswagen and Hyundai & 10 taxi stands will be equipped with the technology.
